Electronic
Data Systems – Plano, Texas
Hey Denise, we got the drive and it works great. Thank you so much.
In all my years of working in IT I have NEVER encountered a company that has as
good of customer service as STG and I mean that. And you are a huge part
of that. So take that to the bank. Thank you for everything you all
do for us. I wouldn't have it any other way with another vendor.
You guys are tops.
Ohio State University – Columbus, Ohio
Overall Ohio State University Office of Information Technology rates STG's
performance at a 9 out of 10 or an A-. We asked for an on site STG
employee who was hired and has performed very well and worked with the OSU
staff in a cooperative and very productive basis. He has learned our
systems in all three locations well and is now proactive with us. We
asked they house 90% of all parts on site - only once in the first six months
did we have to wait for one part to be delivered from IBM. We asked
for a single phone number for help desk support. The STG call system
has worked well and we continue to have excellent support in less than the
2-hour time frame. STG has been very flexible in helping us bridge
warranties. They have made 3 special work orders to assist us in the
installation of memory and disks to servers. The cost has remained
close to the original bid price - in spite of numerous changes - adds, deletes,
special requests and extra parts. We are still saving close to
$200,000 annually over multiple vendors.
Raley's Supermarket – Sacramento,
California
Raley’s stated that they have partnered with STG since October 1,
2000. They utilize an IBM mainframe, and contract for the disk, tape
drives, and 20 printers. They have a very aggressive critical system
that includes 20 Aries / Unix boxes. STG provides 4-hour resolution
on all critical systems. Before STG Raley’s contracted with another
third party provider. The chief motivator for switching to STG
involved the service guaranteed in the contract. STG assigned a full
time CE to the site, and provided local part storage for all critical
systems. STG made improvements to the current method of storing
non-critical parts locally also. STG has remained committed to the
service levels in the contract. Raley’s also stated that they are a
24 X 7 shop that cannot afford to be down for too many hours. They
are very satisfied with their arrangement with STG and noticed a tremendous
improvement over the previous hardware service provider.
Maricopa County Sheriff IS
Department – Phoenix, Arizona
Maricopa County Sheriff’s IS department has utilized STG since
1995. The reason for switching to STG was as much financial as it
was service oriented. The Sheriff’s Office stated that STG proved to
be a very efficient company, and responsive to all issues, especially critical
systems. They have a great response time during off-hours, weekends,
and holidays. They never take longer than 35-45 minutes to
respond. STG maintains all of the desktop workstations, along with
the data center mainframes, and printers. Critical systems on site
are responsible for tracking the movements of all prisoners throughout the
prison system, 24 hours a day. The Sheriff’s Office has stated that
the critical systems have financial penalties written into the contract, and
STG has been able to fulfill all aspects of the contract.
Internal Revenue Service – Washington,
DC
No longer a partner, the IRS contracted with STG for over 4
years. The contract was completed in the summer of
2000. Previously, STG maintained 11 IRS sites across the
nation. These 11 data centers were consolidated into one major
facility in Washington, D.C. The IRS Contracting Technical
Representative stated that they remain very satisfied with the working
relationship they had with STG. They were running IBM mainframe
systems and peripherals on a 24 X 7 schedule. They gave STG very
high marks in evaluations, and were quite pleased with the technical advice
they received. Service was never an issue in four years of the
contract, and the IRS representative claimed that they wouldn’t hesitate to use
them again in the future.
Arizona State University – Tempe,
Arizona
ASU stated that STG has been contracted for IBM mainframe hardware and
peripherals. In addition HP 9000, K200, and N class
servers. They are contracted for a thirty-minute call back, and a
two-hour on-site response from the time of the initial call. They
are routinely on-site within 45 minutes, and have always met the critical
response window. Very service oriented. ASU originally
used STG for time and material contract, and were very pleased with the pricing
and service. This included de-installing old equipment at no
additional cost, such as a Memorex/Telex automated tape library. ASU
formerly used two other vendors as their third party hardware maintenance
provider. The ASU representative is very pleased with all aspects of
the job that STG is performing. He commented that they “do not make
promises that they can’t deliver on”. He would rate them a solid 9+
on a scale of ten.
Triplex Direct Marketing
Corporation – Novato, California
Triplex is licensed through the US Postal Service as a provider for the
National Change of Address database. They have partnered with STG
for over three years. They are running IBM 9672 processors; along
with 50 tape drives, 5 laser printers, and 3 impact printers. STG
has a CE on site for six hours per day, and they maintain a two-hour response
time for critical systems. The Triplex representative has been in
data processing for 29 years, and he stated, “The STG CE and manager were the
best he has ever worked with”. He states they are very service
oriented, and there are no changes he would make in the business relationship.
Sonoma County – Santa Rosa, California
Sonoma County utilizes an IBM ES9000 processor, and 3480 tape drives with
related peripherals, working in a 24 X 7 environment. STG has lived
up to the 2-hour on-site critical response, and have yet to have any
problems. They have an on-site CE during business hours, and they
are very pleased. Sonoma County had a major problem with a failed
CPU two months ago. The response was immediate, and down time was
approximately two hours. Sonoma County has tried three previous
hardware vendors, and none of them have been nearly as responsive as STG.
The organization is very satisfied and would highly recommend STG.
University of Louisville – Louisville,
Kentucky
With multiple IBM mainframe, Unix systems and peripherals the University of
Louisville transitions all hardware maintenance to STG as soon as the IBM
warranty period expires. Since contracting with Signature Technology
Group, the University of Louisville has received a superior level of on site
service. Based on a multiyear contract, STG’s original baseline pricing
has remained consistent and provides the University with significant cost
savings.
